Carlos S. Worthy, was recognized by President Barack Obama in Washington, DC September 14, 2016. Carlos was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award for his lifetime commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service.

Summer Empowerment Experience

For 8-weeks this summer youth entering grades 6-12 participated in the ATAP Summer Empowerment Program. Each week had a different area of focus to include career exploration, STEM awareness, effective communication, SAT prep and healthy living. Youth met with political leaders, faculty members, and subject matter experts as they learned and increased their perspective.

Willingboro Education Association (WEA) awarded ATAP Foundation with the Willingboro's Finest Community Organization Award. Vicki Benedict, WEA President, awarded Dr. Worthy at WR James Elementary School at their annual celebration of students, administration, parents and community organizations.

Trip to Harlem, New York

A group of 53 community members ages 8-80 joined ATAP Foundation on a trip to Harlem! We participated in a guided tour of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, dined at the historic Sylvia's Queen of Soulfood, and rounded out the day touring the Apollo Theater. We also had a special treat when 5 groups of ATAP youth were selected to perform on the Apollo Soundstage for over 200 visitors!
